Editorial & Medical Review Policy
Last updated: October 2026
SANAVITA Health publishes patient education on integrative oncology, longevity, and pediatric and family health in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. This page explains who writes it, how it is reviewed, where the evidence comes from, and how we keep it accurate.
Who writes our content
Every article is published under the name of the SANAVITA Health physician responsible for its subject. The byline links to that physician’s biography, training and professional memberships.
- Dr. Julio Cantillo, NMD — integrative oncology and longevity
- Dr. Thiago Cavalcante, NMD — pediatrics and family health
Medical review
Before an article is published, its clinical content is reviewed by the physician whose specialty it covers — Dr. Cantillo for integrative oncology and longevity, Dr. Cavalcante for pediatrics and family health. The reviewer is named at the top of the article.
When the author and the reviewer are the same physician, the review line reflects that physician’s clinical sign-off. It is not independent peer review, and we don’t present it as one.
Spanish and Portuguese editions
Our Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese articles are translations of the English originals, not separate articles. Each translation is reviewed for clinical accuracy and clarity by a physician who is a native speaker — Dr. Cantillo for Spanish, Dr. Cavalcante for Portuguese — and that reviewer is named on the article.
Sources and evidence
We base our content on peer-reviewed research, clinical practice guidelines from bodies such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society for Integrative Oncology, and public-health agencies such as the National Cancer Institute, the CDC and the World Health Organization. References are listed at the end of each article, with links where the source is available online.
Our standard is that every reference must be credible, relevant to the specific statement it supports, and cited accurately. We distinguish established evidence from emerging research, and we say when the evidence is limited.
Education, not medical advice
Our articles are educational. They do not replace a consultation, a diagnosis or treatment from your own clinicians, and reading them does not create a physician–patient relationship. Integrative oncology content is written to support care from your oncology team, never to replace it.
Clinical naturopathic care is provided only to Arizona residents. Outside Arizona, SANAVITA Health offers educational consulting and navigation.
What our dates mean
- Published — the date an article first appeared on this site.
- Updated — the date of its most recent substantive change or medical review.
We don’t change a date unless the content has actually been changed or reviewed.
Keeping content current
We revisit an article when new research or guidelines change what we would tell a patient, and we aim to review every article at least once a year.
Use of AI tools
Some of our content is drafted, translated or edited with the help of AI writing tools. Every clinical statement in that content has been reviewed by a SANAVITA Health physician, who is accountable for it. Our reference standard applies to AI-assisted content without exception, and AI tools do not give medical advice on this site.
Independence
SANAVITA Health does not publish advertising or sponsored content, and our articles contain no affiliate links. If that ever changes, we will say so on the page where it applies.
Corrections and feedback
If you think something on our site is inaccurate, unclear or out of date, email hello@thesanavita.health. A physician reviews every report. When we correct an article, we update its date.
