Dr. Thiago Cavalcante, NMD
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Pediatrics & Family Health
Dr. Thiago Cavalcante is a licensed naturopathic physician in Arizona, with a multidisciplinary background that spans conventional medicine, pediatric care, and integrative psychiatry. He graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2023. Before completing his naturopathic medical training, Dr. Cavalcante trained in Brazil as a physician with a specialty background in otorhinolaryngology (ENT) and cochlear implant rehabilitation — bringing rare technical depth to his understanding of sensory, neurological, and developmental health.
Dr. Cavalcante has completed advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Functional & Integrative Psychiatry with Psychiatry Redefined. This advanced training deepens his ability to evaluate chronic complex and neurodevelopmental cases through a whole-child lens, including nutrition, gut-brain health, inflammation, environmental exposures, infections, sleep, stress physiology, genetics, and family context. He is a member of the Medical Academy of Pediatrics & Special Needs (MAPS), where he is currently completing a fellowship, and serves on the board of directors of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PedANP).
He approaches pediatric care from the ground up: gut health, immune resilience, sleep architecture, nutritional foundations, and the behavioral ecology of family systems. His vision for SANAVITA Health's pediatric program is grounded in a future-facing model of whole-family medicine — one that holds space for complexity, honors parental intuition alongside clinical evidence, and builds the biological foundations for children to thrive. He speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
